Sagelight Counseling is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.
The standard we aim for
The site is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That means readable color contrast, keyboard navigation, screen-reader-friendly structure, and respect for reduced-motion preferences. The work is ongoing, and we test against the standard at every release.
How we work toward it
- Semantic HTML so screen readers and search engines understand the page.
- Visible focus indicators on every interactive element.
- A skip-to-content link at the top of every page.
- Color contrast checked against WCAG AA at every change.
- Alt text on every image that carries meaning.
- Reduced-motion support, so animations stop when the operating system asks them to.
- Forms with labeled fields and clear error messaging.
If something does not work for you
If a part of the site is hard to use, please tell me. I will fix it. You can reach me by phone at 720-514-9227 or through the contact form. Include the page URL and a short description of the barrier you ran into.
Limitations
Despite the work above, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Embedded third-party tools (the future scheduler and form provider) will be selected with accessibility as a criterion, but their compliance is not under direct control of this site. Where a third-party tool falls short, alternate paths (phone, email) are offered for the same action.
