Sagelight Counseling

Therapy for late-diagnosed neurodivergent adults, across Colorado

I help late-diagnosed, high-masking autistic and AuDHD adults do the deeper work that comes after the realization. The kind of therapy where someone names patterns you are too close to see, tells you what they actually notice, and follows up on the threads you brought last time. Available across Colorado by telehealth.

Who I work with

The people who fit here usually look fine on paper. They are conscientious, capable, and good at holding things together. Underneath, holding it together costs more than anyone else can see.

Most are late-diagnosed or self-identified autistic and AuDHD adults. Many also find themselves in adjacent territory, anxiety and OCD, codependency and people-pleasing, emotional regulation, and the men who do not usually walk into therapy until something forces it. If any of that sounds like you, you are in the right place.

How I work, and why depth matters more than strategies

This is depth work, not a stack of productivity tips. The goal is to understand the patterns underneath what you are dealing with, where they came from, and what you actually want to do with them now that you can see them.

You can expect a few things from me.

  • I help you see the patterns you are too close to see yourself. A lot of the work is naming what has been running in the background.
  • I tell you what I actually notice, with warmth. You will not have to read between the lines.
  • You will not fall through the cracks. I come prepared, I follow up, and I remember the details that matter to you.

Strategies have a place. They are not the whole job.

What I focus on

What therapy with me looks like

The methods are evidence-based and chosen to fit the person in front of me, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and parts and inner child work.

Two things make this practice different from most therapist pages. I spent fifteen years in business, mostly portfolio management, before this work, so high-functioning, high-responsibility clients are familiar ground. I also live with a chronic illness, which has taught me a lot about pacing, advocacy, and what it is to be the patient. The full version of all of that is on the About page.

Telehealth across Colorado

I see clients across the state by secure video, including the Denver metro communities of Westminster, Arvada, Littleton, Golden, Lakewood, and Broomfield. Telehealth keeps consistent, affirming care reachable wherever you are in Colorado, which matters when leaving the house is itself one of the hard parts. Detail on how telehealth works is on the Online Therapy in Colorado page.
